Relationships
Main Description

It is extremely important to monitor and track the progress of projects that are in progress or completed during the transition period and to keep the relevant stakeholders informed on progress as previously agreed. This includes the WIP Lead identifying any specific risks or issues to be highlighted to the stakeholders.

Tracking progress should typically include:

  • Tracking projects that are due to go live before handover:
    • Monitoring projects that are scheduled to implement before Service Handover as agreed previously
    • Confirming that they deliver as expected (e.g. auditing them).
  • Track projects that Capgemini are due to complete:
    • Monitoring projects that Capgemini should complete
    • Auditing the individual projects up to and immediately prior to service handover
    • Producing estimate(s) to complete the project(s) in the agreed format with the Client
    • Agreeing Knowledge Exchange activities and/or the seeding of Capgemini resources into the projects during the transition
    • Reviewing, revising and agreeing estimates for completion.
  • Tracking projects that that the Client/Incumbent should complete (post service handover):
    • Monitoring projects that the Client, incumbent and/or other service provider(s) should complete as agreed previously
    • Tracking deliverables in line with the agreed gating process
    • Undertaking/agreeing activities for Capgemini to run the service post implementation (e.g. Knowledge Exchange).

In addition there may be projects that transition is dependent on or are dependent on transition. These also need to be tracked.

The WIP Lead must prepare a Progress Reports For In-Scope Projects to share the progress and highlight the gaps identified with respect to the agreed planned activities.
